Nixon Darlanio Reis Cardoso (born 20 June 1992), simply known as Nixon, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a forward who plays for Juazeirense. Career Flamengo Nixon made his professional debut for Flamengo against Ponte Preta in round 20 of the 2012 Campeonato Brasileiro. He scored his first goal in the final match of the season against Botafogo. At the start of 2015, Nixon's contract with Flamengo was renewed through 2018. In March he underwent surgery to correct the patellar tendon in his left knee. In July he ruptured the same tendon, ruling him out for the remainder of the season. América (MG) (loan) On 19 July 2016 Nixon signed with América (MG) on loan until the end of the season after spending more than 18 months on the sidelines due to serious injuries. Nixon did not score for the club, who were relegated at the end of the 2016 Série A season. Juazeiro
Juazeiro, formerly also known as Joazeiro, is a municipality in the state of Bahia, in the northeastern region of Brazil. The city is twinned with Petrolina, in the state of Pernambuco. The two cities are connected by a modern bridge crossing the São Francisco River. 2016 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A
The 2016 was the 60th season of the Série A, the top level of professional football in Brazil, and the 13th edition in a double round-robin since its establishment in 2003. The season began on 15 May 2016 and ended on 11 December 2016. Fixtures for the 2016 season were announced on 25 April 2016. Palmeiras won the title, their ninth overall. Format and results For the fourteenth consecutive season, the tournament was played in a double round-robin system. The team with most points at the end of the season was declared champion. Campeonato Brasileiro Série D
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D (English: Brazilian Championship Serie D), commonly known as the Série D or the Brazilian Série D to distinguish it from the Italian Serie D, is the fourth division of the Brazilian football league system, and was announced by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on 9 April 2008. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was formed from the split of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, Série C, keeping its best 20 clubs and playing double round robin as does the top three divisions. The Série D keeps the same format of the older Série C, but with participation limited to 40 clubs recognized by the state federation. In 2016 the Série D was expanded to 68 clubs, but in 2022 it was reduced to 64 clubs.
