Na Inspanning Volgt Ontspanning Sparta, commonly known as Nivo Sparta, is a football club from Zaltbommel, Netherlands. The club was founded in 1953. In 2019 it returned to the Eerste Klasse after winning a section championship in the Tweede Klasse. Zaltbommel
Zaltbommel (), also known, historically and colloquially, as Bommel, is a municipality and a city in the Netherlands. History The city of Zaltbommel The town of Zaltbommel was first mentioned as "Bomela" in the year 850. Zaltbommel received city rights in 1231 and these were renewed in 1316. In 1599 during the Eighty Years War, Zaltbommel was besieged by Spanish forces but was relieved by an Anglo-Dutch force led by Maurice of Orange. The bridge over the Waal at Zaltbommel (which has since been replaced) features in a celebrated twentieth-century Dutch sonnet, ''De moeder de vrouw'', by Martinus Nijhoff. Zaltbommel was expanded to its current size on 1 January 1999, by a merger of the municipalities of Brakel, Kerkwijk and Zaltbommel. 2019–20 Eerste Klasse
The 2019–20 Eerste Klasse season was a season of the Eerste Klasse. Effects of the COVID-19 pandemic On 12 March 2020, all football leagues were suspended until 31 March as the Dutch government forbade events due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Netherlands. On 15 March this period was extended until 6 April. Due to the decision of the Dutch government to forbid all gatherings and events until 1 June 2020, this period was even further extended. Eventually, on 31 March 2020, the Royal Dutch Football Association, KNVB decided not to resume competitions at the amateur level. They also decided, for those competitions involved, there would be no final standings, and therefore no champions, initially no promotions and no relegations. All teams will start next season at the same level as they did this season. Following the cancellation, Meppeler Sport Club and Quick '20 gave up playing Sunday football to compete only on Saturdays and the KNVB promoted the four Hoofdklasse group leaders ... The Eerste Klasse () started as the 1st tier of football in the Netherlands and is now the 6th tier. The league is divided into ten divisions. These divisions correspond to the six districts of the Royal Dutch Football Association: each district is organised geographically. Each division consists of 14 teams. The champion of the Eerste Klasse divisions are promoted to the Vierde Divisie (formerly Hoofdklasse). Furthermore, a season is divided into two periods () of eight matches each. The Vierde Divisie (; "Fourth Division"), formerly known as Hoofdklasse () is the second-highest league of amateur football in the Netherlands, and the fifth tier in general. Background The league was divided into two sections: Saturday and Sunday. This was a result of the traditional pillarisation (), the segregation of Dutch society. The ''Saturday'' clubs are mainly Protestant Christian clubs, who were not allowed to play on Sunday.
