Nite Versions
''Nite Versions'' is a remix album by Soulwax, released on 26 September 2005 through PIAS. The album comprises remixes of songs from their third studio album, '' Any Minute Now''. History The album opens with Soulwax's own take on Daft Punk's 1997 song "Teachers". A hidden track is present before the start of track 1. The 51-second instrumental is untitled, but is an alternate version of the guitar riff from the original version of E Talking. The artwork for singles from the album form illusions. The album artwork was produced by Trevor Jackson. In 2012, ''Nite Versions'' was awarded a double silver certification from the Independent Music Companies Association, which indicated sales of at least 40,000 copies throughout Europe. Soulwax
Soulwax are a Belgian electronic band and DJ/production collective from Ghent, who formed in 1995. Centred around brothers David and Stephen Dewaele, other current members include Igor and Laima Cavalera, and Stefaan Van Leuven. The group first rose to prominence following the release of their album '' Much Against Everyone's Advice'', and have released five studio albums to date. Outside of Soulwax, the Dewaeles also perform DJ sets under the moniker 2manydjs (first known as The Fucking Dewaele Brothers/The Flying Dewaele Brothers). Daft Punk were a French electronic music duo formed in 1993 in Paris by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. They achieved popularity in the late 1990s as part of the French house movement, combining house music, funk, disco, techno, Rock music, rock and synth-pop. Guillaume Emmanuel "Guy-Manuel" de Homem-Christo (; born 8 February 1974) is a French musician. He is known as one half of the former French house music duo Daft Punk, along with Thomas Bangalter. He has produced several works from his now-defunct record label Crydamoure with label co-owner Éric Chedeville. Early life Guillaume Emmanuel de Homem-Christo was born on 8 February 1974 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Hauts-de-Seine. Thomas Bangalter (; born 3 January 1975) is a French musician. He is best known as one half of the former French house music duo Daft Punk, alongside Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. He has recorded and released music as a member of the trio Music Sounds Better with You, Stardust, the duo Together (French band), Together, and as a solo artist. Bangalter's work has influenced a wide range of artists in various genres. Bangalter owned the music label Roulé until its liquidation in 2018. Since Daft Punk's breakup in 2021, he has released music under his solo label, Alberts & Gothmaan, an anagram of his name. The pregap on a Red Book audio CD is the portion of the audio track that precedes "index 01" for a given track in the table of contents (TOC). The pregap ("index 00") is typically two seconds long and usually, but not always, contains silence. Popular uses for having the pregap contain audio are live CDs, track interludes, and hidden songs in the pregap of the first track (detailed below). Unconventional uses of the pregap Computer data in pregap The track 01 pregap was used to hide computer data, allowing computers to detect a data track whereas conventional CD players would continue to see the CD as an audio CD. An illusion is a distortion of the senses, which can reveal how the mind normally organizes and interprets sensory stimulation.
