Southern Connecticut Owls
The Southern Connecticut Owls (also Southern Connecticut State Owls, Southern Connecticut State University Owls, and SCSU Owls) are the athletic teams that represent Southern Connecticut State University, located in New Haven, Connecticut, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Illinois Fighting Illini men's gymnastics team represents the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign and competes in the Big Ten Conference. Nebraska Cornhuskers Men's Gymnastics
The Nebraska Cornhuskers men's gymnastics team competes as part of NCAA Division I, representing the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in the Big Ten Conference. NU is one of just twelve Division I universities that sponsors a men's gymnastics program. Nebraska has hosted meets at the Bob Devaney Sports Center since 1976. Since being established in 1939, the program has won eight national championships, finished as the national runner-up seven times, and won forty-two NCAA event titles. The bulk of this success came under longtime head coach Francis Allen, a former All-American who led the program for forty seasons. Minnesota Golden Gophers Men's Gymnastics
The Minnesota Golden Gophers represented the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in Division 1 men's gymnastics. They were coached by Head Coach Mike Burns and Assistant Coaches Kostya Kolesnikov and Jordan Valdez. The team's home venue was Maturi Pavilion. The Gophers won 21 Big Ten Conference titles, most recently in 1995. They were ranked second in the NCAA three times, most recently in 2018. Two Gophers have been men's artistic individual all-around National Champions: Newt Loken in 1942 and John Roethlisberger in 1991, 1992, & 1993.
