Nishimura Yasutoshi
is a Japanese politician who served as the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry from August 2022 until December 2023. Nishimura previously served as Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy from 2019 to 2021. A member of the Liberal Democratic Party (Japan), Liberal Democratic Party, he has been a member of the House of Representatives of Japan, House of Representatives since 2003, representing Hyogo's 9th district. Nishimura resigned from his cabinet posts in December 2023 amid 2023–2024 Japanese slush fund scandal, allegations of a slush fund involving himself and several other ministers and members of the LDP.
