The Nippon Blue Jays are a baseball team that play in the Campeonato Brasileiro de Beisebol (CBB), the top division of baseball in Brazil. They are the most successful team in the tournament, with 12 championships since 1993. The team is owned by and based at the Nippon Country Club, a Japanese Brazilian country club in Arujá, São Paulo. Campeonato Brasileiro De Beisebol
The Campeonato Brasileiro de Beisebol (English: "Brazilian Baseball Championship") is the top-level baseball tournament in Brazil. It is organized by the Brazilian Baseball and Softball Confederation (CBBS) and as of 2023 it is contested by eleven teams. The championship was first played in 1936 and has been played nonstop, except for the 2020 season, when it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All of the clubs are based in the southeastern states of São Paulo and Paraná. The round-robin tournament consists of two rounds. In the first stage (the ''Fase Inicial''), usually played in July, teams are divided into four groups. The top two teams in each group move on to the final round (''Fase Final''), usually contested in August. The most recent champions are the 2023 winners, Marília Beisebol. Arujá is a city in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. It is part of the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo. The population is 91,157 (2020 est.) in an area of 96.17 km². Daniel Ryuske Missaki (born April 9, 1996) is a Brazilian professional baseball pitcher in the Texas Rangers organization. Career Seattle Mariners Missaki represented Brazil at the 2013 World Baseball Classic, and was the youngest player in the tournament, at just 16 years old.
