2009 BWF World Junior Championships
The 2009 BWF World Junior Championship is the eleventh edition of the BWF World Junior Championships, a junior badminton world championship which was held in Alor Setar, Malaysia, from October 23 to November 1, 2009. The BWF World Junior Championships, also known as the World Junior Badminton Championships, is a tournament organized by the Badminton World Federation to crown the best junior badminton players (U-19) in the world. The championship is held annually and consists of two separate competitions: a mixed team championship (Suhandinata Cup) followed by an individual championship (Eye Level Cups). Editions The precursor of the championships was the Bimantara World Junior Invitational held in Indonesia from 1987 to 1991. Badminton was contested at the 2015 Summer Universiade from July 6 to 12 at the Hwasun Hanium Culture Sports Center in Hwasun, South Korea.
