Ninja Sentai Kakuranger
is a Japanese ''tokusatsu'' television series. It was Toei Company Limited's eighteenth production of the Super Sentai metaseries. It aired from February 18, 1994, to February 24, 1995, following its predecessor '' Gosei Sentai Dairanger'' and was replaced by '' Chouriki Sentai Ohranger''. The name given to this series by Toei for international distribution is ''Ninja Rangers''. Action footage from the series was used in the third season of ''Mighty Morphin Power Rangers'' and '' Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers''. is a ninja who appears in kōdan narrative art and fictional writings. The nickname is generally believed to have been concocted sometime between the Meiji to the Taishō periods. Some argue he is based on real live personages, such as and . His family name, meaning "monkey jump", is written with two kanji; ''saru'' (猿) is the character for "monkey", and ''tobi'' (飛) is the character for "jump". He was known for his monkey-like agility and quickness, especially in trees. is a Japanese ''tokusatsu'' television series and the sixteenth installment in the long-running ''Super Sentai'' metaseries of superhero programs. Produced by Toei Company, Toei, it aired on TV Asahi from February 21, 1992 to February 12, 1993, with a total of 50 episodes replacing ''Chōjin Sentai Jetman'' and was replaced by ''Gosei Sentai Dairanger''.
