Avelino Vaz Maia (born 25 February 1988), better known as Nininho Vaz Maia or Nininho, is a Portuguese singer and songwriter. Career 2013–2020: Career beginnings In 2013, Vaz Maia began to rise to prominence as a musician and composer. He began to compose his first musical themes inspired by pop music and flamenco. Firstly, he recorded a video performing a song to send to his sister. After seeing it, she showed it to her cousin who later shared it on the platform YouTube. After its release, the number of views on YouTube began to grow and an increasing number of fans began to follow the videos and songs he was composing and sharing. Bárbara Tinoco () (born 16 November 1998) is a Portuguese singer and songwriter. She became known for her participation in the reality singing competition ''The Voice Portugal'' in 2018. Sara Sofia Correia (born 27 May 1993) is a Portuguese singer, specializing in the fado genre. She rose to fame in 2007 after winning the Portuguese singing competition, "Grande Noite do Fado" (Great Fado Night), at the age of 13. Early life Sara Correia was born in the Marvila district of Lisbon on 27 May 1993. She grew up inspired by her aunt, Joana Correia, who was also a fado singer. The Gift (band)
The Gift is a Portuguese alternative rock band, formed in 1994. They have released eight albums to date. In 2005 they won the MTV Europe award for best Portuguese act. Biography Formed in 1994, The Gift's original line-up was Sónia Tavares, Nuno and John Gonçalves, Miguel Ribeiro, and Ricardo Braga. Da Weasel
Da Weasel are a Portuguese hip hop/rap rock band from Almada, fronted by MCs Pacman (now known as Carlão) and Virgul. They are one of the oldest hip-hop projects in Portugal, having been formed in 1993 and terminated in 2010, and known for being a full session band, instead of relying on a DJ and samples. New Flamenco
New flamenco (or ''nuevo flamenco'') or flamenco fusion is a musical genre that was born in Spain, starting in the 1980s. It combines flamenco guitar virtuosity and traditional flamenco music with musical fusion (with genres like jazz, blues, rock, rumba, and years later reggaeton, hip hop, or electronic music).
