Nina Åström
Nina Susann Åström (née Lindkvist, born 1962), is a Finland Swede Christian singer-songwriter, pianist and evangelist. Early life Nina Åström (née Lindkvist) was born on the Swedish-speaking west coast of Finland. She has two siblings. She graduated high school in Kokkola in 1981, and completed her MA in English philology at the University of Turku in 1986. Åström became a committed Christian when she was 17 after some years of struggling with the questions of salvation, and surrender to Jesus. Career Åström began writing songs in her early twenties. She began to perform regularly towards the end of the 1980s. Her first album, ''Person 2 Person'', was released in 1992. In 1992 she was invited to perform at the Christian Artists Seminar in the Netherlands. Through this event she was invited to perform on a Dutch TV program. The producer of the program, Gerrit aan't Goor, then offered to become her manager. Aan't Goor became Åström's main lyric writer until 2003. D ... Jennifer Warnes
Jennifer Jean Warnes (born March 3, 1947) is an American singer and songwriter who has performed as a vocalist on a number of film soundtracks. She has won two Grammy Awards, in 1983 for the Joe Cocker duet " Up Where We Belong", and in 1987 for the Bill Medley duet "(I've Had) The Time of My Life". Warnes also collaborated closely with Leonard Cohen. Early life Warnes was born on March 3, 1947, in Seattle, Washington, but raised in Anaheim, California. Her desire and ability to sing came early; at age seven she was offered her first recording contract, which her father declined. She sang in church and local pageants until age 17, when Warnes was offered an opera scholarship to Immaculate Heart College. She was so committed to her Catholic faith that for a while she entered a convent after graduating from high school.
