Nina Dorda
Nina Ilyinichna Dorda (; 27 August 1924 – 26 February 2016) was a Soviet pop and soprano singer, an Honored Artist of Russia. Biography Dorda was born in Moscow, Russia in 1924. She was interested in music at a young age and in 1937, began to attend the Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory. In 1946, Dorda became a soloist-vocalist with the Union Concert Tours Association (VGKO). From 1954 to 1959, Dorda performed in a jazz orchestra with Eddie Rosner. The group gained prominence due to its extensive and colorful tour program. Dorda married musician Maykl Lipski. They met at a restaurant where she was playing in an orchestra. In 1960, Dorda created a new orchestra with him, where, for two decades, she served as a soloist for the group. At the same time, she performed as a soloist for the Moscow Music Hall and performed tours throughout North and South America and Japan (1969-1970). People's Artist Of Russia
People's Artist of the Russian Federation (, ''Narodnyy artist Rossiyskoy Federatsii''), also sometimes translated as National Artist of the Russian Federation, is an honorary and the highest title awarded to citizens of the Russian Federation, all outstanding in the performing arts, whose merits are exceptional in the sphere of the development of the performing arts (theatre, music, dance, circus, cinema, etc.). It succeeded both the all-Soviet Union " People's Artist of the USSR" award (Народный артист СССР), and more directly the local republic's " People's Artist of the RSFSR" award (Народный артист РСФСР), after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Now, the status of the People's Artist of the Russian Federation has risen above that of the earlier RSFSR award. Moscow Saga
''Moscow Saga'' () is a Russian television series loosely based on the eponymous trilogy Vasily Aksyonov. The shooting took place in the winter and spring of 2004. It aired from 11 October to 12 November 2004 on Channel One Russia. Plot ''Moscow Saga'' shows the fate of family of medicine professor Boris Nikitich Gradov from the mid-1920s to mid-1950s against the background of the history of the new Soviet state. Boris' character represents the old dynasty of Russian doctors. His sons and daughter did not continue in his footsteps, but instead chose other professions. Vasily Pavlovich Aksyonov ( rus, Васи́лий Па́влович Аксёнов, p=vɐˈsʲilʲɪj ˈpavləvʲɪtɕ ɐˈksʲɵnəf; August 20, 1932 – July 6, 2009) was a Soviet and Russian novelist. He became known in the West as the author of ''The Burn'' (''Ожог'', ''Ozhog'', from 1975) and of '' Generations of Winter'' (''Московская сага'', ''Moskovskaya Saga'', from 1992), a family saga following three generations of the Gradov family between 1925 and 1953. Early life Vasily Aksyonov was born to Pavel Aksyonov and Yevgenia Ginzburg in Kazan, USSR on August 20, 1932. His mother, Yevgenia Ginzburg, was a successful journalist and educator and his father, Pavel Aksyonov, had a high position in the administration of Kazan. Both parents "were prominent communists."
