Nina Ahmad (born 1960) is an American politician and women's rights activist from Pennsylvania. She is a elected member of the Philadelphia City Council from At Large after being elected in 2023 Philadelphia City Council election, 2023. She is the first person of South Asian descent to serve on Philadelphia City Council. She was the Democratic nominee for the 2020 Pennsylvania Auditor General election which she lost to Timothy DeFoor. She previously ran for 2018 Pennsylvania gubernatorial election, Lieutenant Governor in 2018 but lost in the Democratic primary to John Fetterman. Early life and education Ahmad was born and raised in Bangladesh and lived in the middle of the Bangladesh Liberation War. When she was 21, She moved alone to the US where she received an undergraduate degree in Michigan. Pennsylvania's 10th Congressional District
Pennsylvania's 10th congressional district is located in the south-central region of the state. It encompasses all of Dauphin County as well as parts of Cumberland County and York County. The district includes the cities of Harrisburg and York. Prior to 2019, the district was located in the northeastern part of the state. The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania redrew the district in 2018 after ruling the previous map unconstitutional due to gerrymandering. The court added State College to the old district's boundaries while removing some Democratic-leaning areas and redesignated it the twelfth district, and they reassigned the tenth district to an area around Harrisburg and York. Eugenio Anthony DePasquale (born August 3, 1971) is an American Democratic politician who served as the Pennsylvania Auditor General from 2013 to 2021.
