Ali Mohammed Baqir Al-Nimr
Ali Mohammed Baqir al-Nimr (; born 20 December 1994) is a Saudi Arabian former political prisoner who participated in the 2011–12 Saudi Arabian protests during the Arab Spring as a teenager. He was arrested in February 2012 and sentenced to death in May 2014, having previously awaited ratification of his sentence by King Salman of Saudi Arabia, which was to be carried out by beheading and crucifixion. Ali's trial was considered unfair by Professor of Human Rights Law Christof Heyns, and Amnesty International, as well as French President François Hollande and Prime Minister Manuel Valls, who called for the execution to be stopped. Ali is a nephew of Sheikh Nimr Baqr al-Nimr, who was one of the 47 executed citizens during the 2016 Saudi Arabian mass execution. Albu Nimr
Albu Nimr or al-Bu Nimr () is a Sunni Arab tribe (عشيرة ashirah) of some 500,000 people living in Ramadi in Al Anbar Governorate of Iraq. It is part of the larger Dulaim tribe. In the years after 2007, Albu Nimr was part of the Sahwa militia that fought al-Qaeda in Iraq. In 2014, it was one of the Sunni Arab tribes that fiercely opposed the Islamic State. Mass killings of members of Albu Nimr ISIL declared that Sunni Muslims who fight against their Caliphate were apostates from Islam who were to be executed. At the end of October 2014, there were reports that fighters of the Islamic State massacred Albu Nimr tribesmen. Al-Nimr Palace () is a vast seventeenth-century palace in Nablus, West Bank, Palestine. It is located in the northeastern side of the Habla neighborhood and was originally commissioned by Abdullah Pasha al-Nimr, leader of the Ottoman military campaigns, sent to suppress local strife and secure the region. Amy Nimr (1898–1974), also known as Amy Smart, was an Egyptian-born artist, writer and patron of the arts. She is known for her association with the Cairo-based Art and Liberty Group. Early life and education Amy Nimr was born in Cairo to an upper-class family. The Nimr () is a family of all-terrain military armored personnel carrier (APC) vehicles, co-developed with Russia's Military Industrial Company and produced by Nimr (vehicle manufacturer), Nimr LLC in the United Arab Emirates.
