Nilufer Zafarullah (born 6 June 1949) is a Bangladeshi politician who was a member of the 9th and 10th parliaments from the Bangladesh Awami League. She is a Director of Chittagong Independent University and Independent University, Bangladesh, Independent University Bangladesh. She was named in the 2016 Panama Papers leak. The Jatiya Sangsad (), often simply referred to as Sangsad and also known as is the unicameral legislative body of Bangladesh. The current parliament of Bangladesh contains 350 seats, including 50 seats reserved exclusively for women. Elected occupants are called members of Parliament, or MPs. The 12th national parliamentary election was held on 7 January 2024. Elections to the body are held every five years, unless a parliament is dissolved earlier by the President of Bangladesh. Kazi Zafarullah
Kazi Zafarullah (born April 1947) is a Bangladeshi industrialist and politician. He is a presidium member of Bangladesh Awami League, its central executive committee. He was Member of Parliament from Faridpur-4. Early life Zafarullah was born in April 1947, the eldest son of Kazi Mahbubullah and Begum Zebunnessa. He was educated at St Gregory's High School and Dhaka College, and has bachelor's and master's degrees in history from the University of Dhaka. Career Zafarullah was critically injured in the 2004 Dhaka grenade attack which targeted former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The Panama Papers () are 11.5 million leaked documents (or 2.6 terabytes of data) published beginning April 3, 2016.
