Nile Conference
The Nile Conference is one of the three Athletic conference, conferences that make up the Basketball Africa League (BAL), the other two being the Sahara Conference and the Kalahari Conference. All conferences currently consist of four teams. The conference alignment began in the 2022 BAL season, 2022 season, although plans to have conferences were already set up before the inaugural season. Named after the Nile River, the conference has been played at a single venue thus far, the Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall in Cairo, Egypt for the past two seasons. Venues From 2022 to 2024, all games of the Nile Conference were played at the Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall located in Cairo, Egypt. In 2025, the conference was played in the BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda. FAP Basketball
Forces Armées et Police Basketball (), commonly known as simply FAP or FAP Yaoundé, is a basketball team based in Yaoundé, Cameroon. It is the basketball team of the Cameroonian armed forces and police. The team previously played in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) and domestically plays in the Elite Messieurs. FAP has won the national championship four times, the Cameroon Cup twice, and the Central Region League Championship five times. The Yaoundé Multipurpose Sports Complex serves as home arena of the team. History The club was established in 1972 in Yaoundé. 2021–22 Cape Town Tigers Season
The 2021–22 Cape Town Tigers season is the 2nd season in the existence of the Cape Town Tigers. The team played in the 2022 BAL qualification, BAL qualification and successfully advanced to the 2022 BAL season. 2021–22 Petro De Luanda Basketball Season

2022 BAL Nile Conference
The Nile Conference of the 2022 BAL season began on 9 April 2022 and ended on 19 April 2022. In a group of six teams, all teams played each other one time. The top four teams in the standings advanced to the 2022 BAL Playoffs. All games were hosted in the Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall in Cairo, Egypt. The teams and schedule were revealed on 8 February. 2025 BAL Season
The 2025 BAL season, also known as BAL Season 5, will be the 5th season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The season will begin on 5 April and end on 14 June 2025 with the final. The playoffs and finals will be held in Pretoria, South Africa, for the first time. Petro de Luanda were the defending champions, having won the previous season, but lost in the final to Al Ahli Tripoli, who became the first Libyan team to win the BAL championship. As winners, Al Ahli Tripoli earned the right to play in the 2025 FIBA Intercontinental Cup. Venues The Moroccan Royal Basketball Federation (FRMBB) announced on 12 November 2024 that Rabat would be one of the host cities of the first phase of the 2025 season. 2024 BAL Playoffs
The 2024 BAL playoffs was the postseason tournament of the 2024 BAL season which determined the champions of the 4th Basketball Africa League (BAL) season. The playoffs began on 24 May 2024 with the seeding games and finished on 1 June 2024 with the final. For a fourth consecutive season, the playoffs were hosted in the BK Arena in Kigali. It was the first playoff season that included seeding games, that were used to determine the final match-ups in the quarterfinals. The eight games in the 2024 BAL play-offs attracted an average attendance of 4,744. All eight games took place at the BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda. Al Ahly is an Egyptian basketball club of Al Ahly SC, located in Cairo, Cairo Governorate, that plays in the Egypt Basketball Super League. 2024 BAL Nile Conference
The 2024 BAL Nile Conference was the 3rd season of the Nile Conference, one of the three conferences of the 2024 season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The composition of the conference and the schedule were announced on 15 February 2024. The conference games began on 19 April and ended on 27 April 2024. Atlético Petróleos de Luanda, commonly known as Petro de Luanda, is an Angolan basketball club based in Luanda. It competes at the local level, in the Luanda Provincial Basketball Championship and in the BIC Basket, Angola National Basketball Championship.
