''Nikka Zaildar 2'' is a 2017 Punjabi romantic comedy film directed by Simerjit Singh, written by Jagdeep Sidhu and starring Ammy Virk, Sonam Bajwa, and Wamiqa Gabbi as the main lead roles and the film was released worldwide on 22 September 2017. It is second installment of Nikka Zaildar (film series) and is not a sequel to 2016 film ''Nikka Zaildar''. Plot Nikka is in love with Saawan but circumstances force him to marry Roop, his childhood friend. The story then follows towards his attempts to marry Saawan. Circumstance make the family believe that Roop can't conceive and his second marriage is arranged with Saawan. In the end he realizes that he is in love with Roop now. Simerjit Singh
Simerjit Singh (born 6 December 1973) is an Indian film director and writer. He is best known for directing the Punjabi film Angrej. Career After completing his graduation Simerjit moved to Mumbai in 1997 to pursue his passion of films. He started his career as an assistant director to Director Anees Bazmee for his second directorial venture, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha (1998), After that he joined to Anil Devgan for Raju Chacha (2000) & Blackmail (2005), He also assisted to Rohit Shetty for his directorial debut film, Zameen (2003). While doing Blackmail he gets a chance to work as a chief assistant director for his first Punjabi film Waris Shah: Ishq Daa Waaris (2006) Directed by Manoj Punj. Karamjit Anmol is an Indian actor, comedian, singer and film producer active in the Punjabi entertainment industry. Muhammad Sadiq is a Punjabi-language singer, actor and politician from Punjab, India. He is best known for his duets with singer Ranjit Kaur. He is the current Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha for Faridkot, Punjab constituency. He was the Congress party MLA from Bhadaur in Punjab from 2012 to 2017.
