Nika Metreveli
Nika Metreveli ( ka, ნიკა მეტრეველი; born 14 January 1991) is a Georgian-Italian professional basketball player for BC Titebi of the Georgian Superliga. Professional career The 2013–14 season, Metreveli started with Sukhumi but on 3 December 2013 he left the club and signed with Italian second division club Roseto Sharks for the rest of the season. On 25 June 2014 he signed with Azzurro Napoli Basket 2013 of the Serie A2 Basket, second level of Italian basketball. On 9 January 2015 he left the club. In February 2015, he signed with MIA Academy for the rest of the season. On 18 September 2015 Metreveli signed with Italian club Betaland Capo d'Orlando. On 5 January 2016 he left Capo d'Orlando and signed with Juvecaserta Basket. On 20 January 2017 he parted ways with Juvecaserta. The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall. The club competes in the top level Italian professional basketball league, the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). History Scafati Basket traces its history to Silvio Pellico, a club founded by a group of students in 1949. That merged with Savoia in 1955 to form Scafatese Basket, which would be renamed Centro Sportivo Scafatese in 1969. Georgia National Basketball Team
The Georgia men's national basketball team ( ka, საქართველოს ეროვნული საკალათბურთო ნაკრები) represents the country of Georgia in international basketball matches, and is controlled by the Georgian Basketball Federation. Georgia became a member of FIBA in 1992, after they gained independence from the Soviet Union. The national team played their first official match against Poland in 1995. Georgia's accomplishments on the international stage have been clinching qualification to the European Basketball Championship five times. The Italian Basketball Cup (Italian: Coppa Italiana di Pallacanestro), or Coppa Italia, is an annual professional basketball competition between pro clubs from the Lega Basket Serie A, Italian Basketball League (LBA). It is Italy's first-tier cup competition, and is not to be confused with Italy's second-tier cup competition, the Italian Legadue Cup. History and format The first edition of the Italian Cup championship took place in 1968, and was won by Partenope Napoli.
