Nihal Bhareti was a popular radio announcer with the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation in Colombo. He joined Radio Ceylon in the 1960s. His mellow voice attracted hundreds of fans in Sri Lanka as well as on the Indian sub-continent. Bhareti joined the station when it was popular across South Asia. Radio Ceylon ruled the airwaves and millions tuned into the station from the vast Indian sub-continent. Bhareti's mellow voice proved popular with local listeners in Sri Lanka as well as listeners on the ''All Asia'' beam of the station. Nihal Güres (born 1962 in Ankara) is a Turkish artist and writer. She is also sometimes referred to as Nihal Gürses. Early life and education Nihal Güres was born in 1962 in Ankara. She was educated in literature and language of Latin and Greek variety at the Istanbul University classical languages and filology department. She received her art education from Sabri Berkel and Neşe Aybey. Nihal Singh Takshak was a politician from the village of Bhagwi, Punjab (now in Haryana), India. In 1939 he founded the Jind State Praja Mandal political party. He was first MLA from Jind following the election of 1937. He was also an Education Inspector with Birla Institute Pilani. He starting Basic Education school with help of Birla Trust in every village of Luharu- Jind state now district Bhiwani. Nihal Sarin (born 13 July 2004) is an Indian chess player and chess prodigy. He achieved the title of Grandmaster at age 14. In 2018, he passed the Elo rating of 2600 at 14 years old, which at the time made him the third youngest player in history to do so. As a junior player, Nihal was the World Under-10 champion in 2014. In 2015, he tied for first place in the World Under-12 championship, taking the silver medal on tiebreaks. Nihal won the Gold Medal as part of the Indian team in the FIDE Online Chess Olympiad 2020. Zeynep Nihal Yeğinobalı (16 November 1927 - 14 March 2020) was a Turkish novelist and translator. Private life Zeynep Nihal was born in Manisa on 16 November 1927. She moved to Istanbul when she was eight years old. Following the primary school, she attended American College for Girls (ACG45), and upon graduation in 1945, went to the United States to study literature in the State University of New York. After living eight years in the United States, she returned to Turkey. Yeğinobalı died in Istanbul at the age of 92 on 14 March 2020.
