''Nightmares'' is the debut studio album by British metalcore band Architects. It was released on 15 May 2006 through Distort and In at the Deep End Records. The album was produced by the band themselves and Karl Bareham. It is the only album featuring the band's original line-up with Matt Johnson on vocals and Tim Lucas on bass. Architects (British Band)
Architects are an English metalcore band from Brighton, East Sussex, England formed in 2004 by twin brothers Dan and Tom Searle. The band now consists of Dan Searle on drums, Sam Carter on vocals, Alex Dean on bass, and Adam Christianson on guitar. They have been signed to Epitaph Records since 2013. Strongly influenced by bands such as The Dillinger Escape Plan, the sound of their first three albums was coarse, chaotic, and rhythmically complex. In 2011, Architects went in a more melodic post-hardcore direction with ''The Here and Now'', alienating some of their fanbase. In at the Deep End Records (IATDE), founded 2000, is an independent record label based on the outskirts of Nottingham, England. The label specialises in hardcore punk and heavy metal music genres. History The label was founded in 2000 driven by the love of the then Hardcore scene in the UK by the person behind the UKbase project (UK hardcore and punk website). Based on the outskirts of Nottingham, IATDE issued their first release ''Amped Up'' in 2002. The Dillinger Escape Plan
The Dillinger Escape Plan is an American metalcore band. The band was formed in 1997 in Morris Plains, New Jersey by guitarist Ben Weinman, bassist Adam Doll, vocalist Dimitri Minakakis, and drummer Chris Pennie. The band's use of Consonance and dissonance, dissonance, odd time signatures, polyrhythms and unconventional drum patterns became a staple of their sound, although later albums incorporated more melody, and influences from a range of genres. Converge is an American metalcore band formed by vocalist and artist Jacob Bannon and guitarist and producer Kurt Ballou in Salem, Massachusetts in 1990. Unsane is an American noise rock trio that was formed in New York City in 1988. Its music touches on elements of hardcore punk and metal. The writer Patrick Kennedy wrote, "While developing the blueprint for noise-metal bands to follow, Unsane cut a remarkable swath through underground music, inspiring a devoted, cult-like following around the world."
