''Nightcap'' (or ''Nightcap with Unc and Ocho'') is a nighttime podcast produced by The Volume and Shay Shay Media. It is hosted by former NFL players Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco Johnson. The podcast is live streamed on YouTube and the audio is available on podcast platforms. History The show premiered as part of the '' Club Shay Shay'' YouTube channel in September 2023. It debuted at #46 in the Top 50 U.S Podcasts. The show was originally called ''The Nightcap with Unc and Ocho'' and was hosted by Sharpe and Johnson. "Unc" is a shortening of Sharpe's nickname (Uncle/Uncle Shannon); "Ocho" is a shortening of Ochocinco, Johnson's nickname and legal middle name. In October 2023, the podcast launched its own YouTube channel. The title of the show was shortened to ''Nightcap''. Shannon Sharpe
Shannon Sharpe (born June 26, 1968) is an American former professional football tight end who played 14 seasons in the National Football League (NFL), primarily with the Denver Broncos. Regarded as one of the greatest tight ends of all time, he ranks third in tight end receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. He was also the first NFL tight end to amass over 10,000 receiving yards. He was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011. Chad Ochocinco Johnson (born Chad Javon Johnson, January 9, 1978), known from 2008 to 2012 as Chad Ochocinco, is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver for 11 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Santa Monica Corsairs and the Oregon State Beavers, and played for the Cincinnati Bengals and the New England Patriots during his tenure playing in the NFL.
