Nigerian Universities Commission
The National Universities Commission (NUC) is a Nigerian government agency set up to regulate higher education in Nigeria. NUC, as it is popularly called, was established in 1962 as an advisory agency in the cabinet office. In 1974, it became a statutory body and its first executive secretary was professor Jibril Aminu. NUC is currently part of the Federal Ministry of Education and is a parastatal (government-owned corporation). The commission has a governing council, currently headed by professor Shehu Galadanchi and its executive secretary is Abubakar Adamu Rasheed, who assumed office on 3 August 2016. Since its establishment, the commission has transformed from a small office in the cabinet office to an important arm of government in the area of development and management of university education in Nigeria. Higher Education
Tertiary education (higher education, or post-secondary education) is the educational level following the completion of secondary education. The World Bank defines tertiary education as including universities, colleges, and vocational schools. ''Higher education'' is taken to include undergraduate and postgraduate education, while vocational education beyond secondary education is known as ''further education'' in the United Kingdom, or included under the category of ''continuing education'' in the United States. Tertiary education generally culminates in the receipt of Academic certificate, certificates, diplomas, or academic degrees. Peter Okebukola
Peter Akinsola Okebukola (born 17 February 1948) is a Nigerian academic, researcher, and administrator. He holds the position of distinguished professor of science and computer education at Lagos State University (LASU) and has been contributing to academia since 1984. He serves as the chairman of council at Crawford University and holds the presidency of the Global University Network for Innovation (GUNi-Africa), a network fostering innovation and social responsibility in African higher education. Okebukola is a recipient of the UNESCO Kalinga Prize for the Communication of Science in 1992 — the first African to achieve such recognition for outstanding contributions to science popularisation. Anambra State

Abia State
Abia is a state in the Southeastern region of Nigeria. The state's capital is Umuahia and its most populous city is Aba. Abia is bordered the west by Imo, east by Cross River, south by Rivers, northwest by Anambra and northeast by Enugu and Ebonyi. Sokoto State
Sokoto ( Hausa: ; Fula: , ''Leydi Sokoto'') is one of the 36 states of Nigeria, located in the extreme northwest of the country. Kano State

Delta State

Borno State
