Nigel Stafford-Clark
Nigel Stafford-Clark (born 12 June 1948) is a British film and television producer, a three-time BAFTA winner and the owner of Deep Indigo Productions. He is best known as the producer of ''Warriors'', ''The Way We Live Now'', ''Bleak House'', and '' The Passion'', which were broadcast by the BBC. Early life and education The brother of theatre director Max Stafford-Clark, Nigel was educated at Felsted and Trinity College, Cambridge. Career He worked in advertising and in sponsored documentaries before becoming a commercials producer at Moving Picture Company (MPC). In the buildup to the launch of Channel 4 in November 1982, he formed MPC's programme department, executive producing a number of documentary series for the new channel, including one of its earliest hits ''Tom Keating on Painters''. Bromley
Bromley is a large town in Greater London, England, within the London Borough of Bromley. It is southeast of Charing Cross, and had an estimated population of 88,000 as of 2023. Originally part of Kent, Bromley became a market town, chartered in 1158. ''Stormy Monday'' is a 1988 neo-noir thriller film written and directed by Mike Figgis in his feature film directorial debut, and starring Melanie Griffith, Sean Bean, Tommy Lee Jones, and Sting. The film follows an Irishman living in Newcastle upon Tyne, where he becomes embroiled in an American businessman's plot to acquire a prominent jazz club. Peter Kosminsky
Peter Kosminsky (born 21 April 1956) is a British writer, director and producer. He has directed Hollywood movies such as '' White Oleander'' and television films like ''Warriors'', ''The Government Inspector'', '' The Promise'', ''Wolf Hall'' and ''The State''. Biography Kosminsky was born in London in 1956 to Jewish parents. He was educated at the Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School and the University of Oxford, where he studied chemistry under John Danby of Worcester College, Oxford and was elected JCR President. He spent much of his time at the university involved in student theatre, where he was treasurer of the Oxford University Dramatic Society. ''Shoot to Kill'' is a four-hour drama documentary reconstruction of the events that led to the 1984–86 Stalker Inquiry into the shooting of six terrorist suspects in Northern Ireland in 1982 by a specialist unit of the Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC), allegedly without warning (the so-called shoot-to-kill policy); the organised fabrication of false accounts of the events; and the difficulties created for the inquiry team in their investigation. The film, written by Michael Eaton, produced by Nigel Stafford-Clark and directed by Peter Kosminsky, was made by Zenith Productions for the ITV company Yorkshire Television, and screened in two parts over successive nights in June 1990. ''Hamish Macbeth'' is a Scottish mystery comedy-drama television series produced by BBC Scotland that aired from 26 March 1995 to 4 May 1997. It is loosely based on a series of mystery novels by M. C. Beaton ( Marion Chesney). The series concerns a local police officer, Constable Hamish Macbeth, in the fictitious town of Lochdubh on the west coast of Scotland.
