Nigel Satterley
Nigel Satterley is the founder of Satterley Property Group, a privately owned real estate and land development company based in Perth, which develops residential estates in Western Australia and Victoria. History Satterley attended Governor Stirling Senior High School but left at the age of 16 to work at a clothing wholesaler in Midland. While working there, he acquired the Western Australian distributorship for Levi Jeans in the late 1960s. In 1967, Satterley was listed on the National Service Register as a national service registrant excluded by ballot. During the 1970s, Satterley established a building company called Statesman Homes, based at 135 St Georges Terrace. Around this time, he met James McCusker and Bob McKerrow, who founded the Town and Country Building Society (now part of ANZ). In 1980, Satterley sold Statesman Homes and founded Satterley Crofts. Satterley Property Group is an Australian privately owned real estate land development company based in Perth, Western Australia, Perth. It develops residential estates in Western Australia and Victoria (Australia), Victoria. History The company is based in Perth, Western Australia. The company was founded by Nigel Satterley in 1980. Satterley began his career working for James McCusker (banker), James McCusker, the founder of Town and Country Building Society. This led him to found Statesman Homes, which was sold in 1980, the same year Nigel Satterley founded Satterley Crofts. During the 1980s, Satterley Crofts became part of an international controversy surrounding land selling expeditions to Singapore. By the 1990s, 70% of private new estate land in Perth was owned by Satterley, with 80 staff and $350 million in annual sales.
