Nigel Hemming is a UK-based Christian songwriter and musician known for writing on and producing the Great Big God series and his involvement on the Vineyard ''Come Now Is the Time to Worship'' and ''Hungry (Christian music album), Hungry'' albums. Background After leaving university, Hemming worked as a primary school teacher and as a musician. In the early 1990s, he was the keyboardist for the band Fat and Frantic, performing at festivals such as Greenbelt Festival, Greenbelt and was part of the line-up when the band reformed in 2011. Hemming became involved with recording for Vineyard Records UK, Vineyard Music UK when Brian Doerksen invited him to play keyboards on the Vineyard UK album ''Come Now Is the Time to Worship''. Fat And Frantic
Fat and Frantic are a London-based pop music group who write all their own material, play a wide variety of musical styles ranging from manic skiffle through rock 'n roll to a cappella which they sometimes described as "piffle" – a mix of punk and skiffle. Background Formed in 1985, Fat and Frantic was a particular favourite on the UK live venues and University circuit playing some 300 gigs between 1989 and 1992, as well as playing frequently at the Greenbelt Festival and at Reading Festival. Its best-known song was "Last Night My Wife Hoovered My Head", one chorus of which was sung in French. Greenbelt Festival is a festival of arts, faith and justice held annually in England since 1974. Greenbelt has grown out of an evangelical Christian music festival with an audience of 1,500 young people into its current form, a more inclusive festival attended at its peak around 2010 by around 20,000, including Christians and those from other faiths. Brian Robert Doerksen is a Canadian Contemporary Christian music, Christian singer-songwriter and worship leader from Abbotsford, British Columbia. Early life Doerksen was a member at a local Mennonite Brethren church in British Columbia and graduated from the Mennonite Educational Institute in 1983. In his early twenties, he joined the staff of the Langley Vineyard Christian Fellowship and spent several years there as the worship pastor in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Musical career For many years Doerksen was part of the Association of Vineyard Churches, Vineyard Churches as well as Vineyard Music Group.
