Nigel Paul Farage ( ; born 3 April 1964) is a British politician and broadcaster who has been Member of Parliament (United Kingdom), Member of Parliament (MP) for Clacton (UK Parliament constituency), Clacton and Leader of Reform UK since 2024, having previously been its leader from 2019 to 2021. He was the leader of the UK Independence Party (UKIP) from 2006 to 2009 and 2010 to 2016. Farage served as a member of the European Parliament (MEP) for South East England (European Parliament constituency), South East England from 1999 until the UK's withdrawal from the European Union (EU) in 2020. Reform UK
Reform UK is a right-wing populist political party in the United Kingdom. Nigel Farage has been Leader of Reform UK and Richard Tice deputy leader since 2024. It has five members of Parliament (MPs) in the House of Commons and one member of the London Assembly. It also controls twelve local councils. Farage's resumption of the leadership before the 2024 general election led to a sharp increase in support for it and it won the third-largest share of the popular vote, with 14.3 per cent. The Leader of Reform UK (formerly the Brexit Party) is the most senior and highest position within Reform UK. The current holder is party founder Nigel Farage, who became leader on 3 June 2024, previously having served in the position from 2019 to 2021. The longest serving leader of the party was Richard Tice having served 3 years and 90 days. The shortest serving was Catherine Blaiklock who was leader for 62 days. Giles Francis Watling (born 18 February 1953) is a British Conservative politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Clacton from 2017 until 2024. Michael Henry Nattrass (born 14 December 1945) is a British politician who served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the West Midlands constituency, from 2004 to 2014. He was elected as a candidate for the UK Independence Party (UKIP) for the first time in June 2004 and re-elected in June 2009, but resigned from the party in September 2013. Alan Sked (born 22 August 1947) is a British Eurosceptic academic. He founded the Anti-Federalist League (in order to oppose the Maastricht Treaty) and its successor the UK Independence Party (UKIP). He is Professor Emeritus of International History at the London School of Economics and has stood as a candidate in several parliamentary elections. Early life Sked was educated at Allan Glen's School in Glasgow, before going on to study Modern and Medieval History at the University of Glasgow, followed by a DPhil in Politics at Merton College, Oxford. David Borrelli (born 28 April 1971) is an Italian politician and former member of the European Parliament. Biography In 2005 Borrelli started the Meetup group "Grilli Treviso", which later merged into the M5S. Borrelli was elected to Treviso city council in 2008 and served to 2013, the first M5S city councillor in a provincial capital. Working as a computer specialist, he co-founded an IT company in 2011.
