Mohammad Nidal al-Shaar () who serves as the Minister of Economy and Industry for Syria since 29 March 2025 as part of the Syrian transitional government. He had previously served as Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade in the Adel Safar government. Early life, education and career Al-Shaar was born in the Aleppo in 1956. Abou Nidal de Genève is the stage name of Aboubakar Doumbia born on December 29, 1974, in Divo (Ivory Coast), Ivorian composer, performer and producer. Maryam Mohammad Yousif Farhat (), or Mariam Farahat (1949 – 17 March 2013), more commonly known as Umm Nidal () was a Palestinian activist popularly known by Palestinians as the "Mother of Martyrs" for her support for her sons' involvement in attacks against Israel. Three of her sons were members of Hamas who conducted or participated in the organisation of attacks against Israeli civilian and/or military targets and were killed by Israeli forces, while she was still alive. Nidal Baba (born August 16, 1972, in Humble, Texas) is a retired U.S. soccer midfielder who was a member of the U.S. U-16 national team at the 1989 FIFA U-16 World Championship. He also played three games with the MetroStars during the 1996 Major League Soccer season. Nidal Fat’hi Rabah Farahat (; 8 April 197116 February 2003) created the Qassam rocket, a homemade weapon produced by Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades. After the First Intifada, Farahat was arrested following the death of senior Hamas militant Imad Aqel. After spending three years in Israeli detention, he returned to Gaza.
