West Tyrone (Assembly Constituency)
West Tyrone is a constituency in the Northern Ireland Assembly. The seat was first used for a Northern Ireland-only election for the Northern Ireland Forum in 1996. Since 1998, it has elected members to the current Assembly. For Assembly elections prior to 1996, the constituency was largely part of the Mid Ulster constituency with a smaller section coming from Fermanagh and South Tyrone constituency. Catherine Kelly MLA (born 27 June 1987) is a Sinn Féin politician from Loughmacrory, County Tyrone, who served as Member of the Legislative Assembly for the West Tyrone constituency in the Northern Ireland Assembly June 2017 until her resignation in October 2020. Omagh (; from , meaning 'the virgin plain') is the county town of County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
