Nicola Berti
Nicola Berti (; born 14 April 1967) is an Italian former Association football, footballer, who played as a midfielder. Berti's career spanned three decades, during which he played for several clubs: after beginning his career with Parma AC, Parma, he played with ACF Fiorentina, Fiorentina, and in particular Inter Milan, where he became an important figure in the club's midfield, winning a Serie A title and three UEFA Cups. After his time in Italy, he ended his career with spells in England, Spain, and Australia, at Tottenham Hotspur F.C., Tottenham, Alavés, and North West Sydney Spirit FC, Northern Spirit respectively. Salsomaggiore Terme (Parmigiano dialect, Salsese: ; Parmigiano dialect, Parmigiano: ) is a town and ''comune'' located in the Italy, Italian province of Parma, in the region of Emilia-Romagna. The ''scudetto'' (; Italian for 'little shield') is a decoration having the colors of the flag of Italy which is sewn onto the jersey of the Italian sports clubs that won the highest level championship of their respective sport in the previous season. Lothar Herbert Matthäus (; born 21 March 1961) is a German association football, football pundit and former professional player and manager. He captained Germany national football team, West Germany to victory in the 1990 FIFA World Cup and was awarded the Ballon d'Or. 1988–89 Inter Milan Season
Season After another disappointing season, Inter retained Giovanni Trapattoni and signed German footballers Brehme, a fullback, and Lothar Matthäus, a box-to-box midfielder, to strengthen the club. Inter targeted Rabah Madjer to be their first choice at centre-forward, however, issues arose during Madjer's physical assessment so the team opted instead to acquire Ramón Díaz. The new attacking partnership of Díaz and Aldo Serena proved to be consistent goal scorers for Inter. Alessandro Altobelli would depart the team, although Inter's performance was not critically impacted.
