Nickelodeon Global (formerly Nickelodeon Europe and Nickelodeon Export) is a specialized children's television channel and the international version of the American Nickelodeon channel. It is operated by Paramount Networks EMEAA in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, and by Paramount Networks Americas in Latin America and Brazil. History Nickelodeon Export Since the late 1980s, many European countries, including the USSR in 1988, have hosted the American version of the channel, where Nickelodeon became available without translation. This expansion followed the strategy used in 1987 for launching MTV Networks Europe. Paramount Networks Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia (EMEAA) is a division of Paramount International Networks which is fully owned by Paramount Global. Nickelodeon (Middle East And North Africa)
Nickelodeon was a pan-Arab pay television channel for kids that was exclusively available on OSN. It is the official Arabic-localised variant of Nickelodeon and until 2011, it was the last remaining channel to retain the 'splat' logo that was used from 1984 to 2009 in the United States. Nickelodeon Ukraine (Ukrainian; Нікелодеон Україна) is a Ukrainian language television channel and formerly a programming block on QTV and channel on Pluto TV. History Nickelodeon started in Ukraine in October 1998 as a programming block on the Ukrainian television station QTV. On 5 November 2003, a Ukrainian version of the channel was launched in Russian using the Pan-European feed. On 31 August 2017, the Ukrainian-language Nickelodeon block ended after the closure of QTV.
