Nickelodeon (commonly shortened as Nick) is a South African 24-hour television channel owned by Paramount Networks EMEAA. The channel was launched on July 1, 2008. North Africa receives the Arabic-language version of the channel Nickelodeon (Middle Eastern & North African TV channel), Nickelodeon MENA. Unlike other Nickelodeon feeds and much like the Nick (German TV channel), German and Nickelodeon (Dutch TV channel), Dutch feeds, the end credits on shows (except on interstitial shows) never appear. They were replaced by short credits including the show name, production year and production company and much like the Nickelodeon (Central and Eastern European TV channel), European feed, the promos and bumpers do not contain any text other than the Nickelodeon logo (prior to 2023 in the case of promos). Nickelodeon was a pan-Arab pay television channel for kids that was exclusively available on OSN. It is the official Arabic-localised variant of Nickelodeon and until 2011, it was the last remaining channel to retain the 'splat' logo that was used from 1984 to 2009 in the United States. Cartoon Network is one of two digital children's television channels that air animated series: Cartoon Network MENA (formerly known as Cartoon Network EMEA), which serves the Middle East and North Africa division along with Greece and Cyprus; and Cartoon Network Africa, which exclusively serves Sub-Saharan Africa. The Kenya Film Classification Board (abbreviated as KFCB) is a state corporation that operates under the Government of Kenya whose mandate is to "regulate the creation, broadcasting, possession, distribution and exhibition of films by rating them." The Board was founded in 1963 with the commencement of the laws outlined in the Films and Stage Plays Act of 1962 (Section 11) and has since involved itself in the rating and classification of films and television programmes. KidsCo was an international children's television channel active from 2007 until 2014. It was a joint venture between Corus Entertainment, DIC Entertainment (later part of Cookie Jar Group) and NBCUniversal whose content was mainly commissioned by DIC and Corus subsidiary Nelvana.
