Nick Stringer
Nick Stringer (born 10 August 1948 in Torquay, Devon) is an English actor. In his forty-year career, Stringer has appeared in numerous well-known British television shows, including ''The Bill'', '' Bergerac '', ''Open All Hours'', ''Only Fools and Horses'', ''Auf Wiedersehen, Pet'', ''Coronation Street'', ''Family Affairs'', ''Minder'', '' Johnny Jarvis'', ''Butterflies'', ''My Family'' and '' The Professionals''. He also had roles in the films ''The Long Good Friday'' (1980), ''Clockwise'' (1986) and '' Personal Services'' (1987). In ''The Bill'' he played PC Ron Smollett, a likeable, hard-working, and honest cop, from 1990 to 1993. Stringer appeared in the first two series of ''The New Statesman'' as the fictional Member of Parliament Bob Crippen, a Labour opponent of the Conservative Alan B'Stard. Torquay
Torquay ( ) is a seaside town in Devon, England, part of the unitary authority area of Torbay. It lies south of the county town of Exeter and east-north-east of Plymouth, on the north of Tor Bay, adjoining the neighbouring town of Paignton on the west of the bay and across from the fishing port of Brixham. In 2011 the built-up area of Torquay had a population of 65,245. ''Clockwise'' is a 1986 British comedy road film starring John Cleese, directed by Christopher Morahan, written by Michael Frayn and produced by Michael Codron. ''Super Gran'' is a Scottish fictional series about a grandmother with superpowers. Initially a series of books written by Forrest Wilson, a children's television show was adapted by Jenny McDade and produced by Tyne Tees Television for Children's ITV. Trevor Mills Byfield (20 October 1943 – 11 October 2017) was a British character actor particularly well known for his roles on British television. In many of his later roles he was credited as Zig Byfield. Theatre work Prior to his work in television and film he appeared in several stage musicals under the name Ziggy Byfield. These included the 1970s production of ''Hair'', where he appeared alongside Joan Armatrading, Richard O'Brien, Paul Nicholas and Floella Benjamin.
