Nick Ramsay
Nick Ramsay (born 10 June 1975) is a British politician who served as the Member of the Senedd (MS) for Monmouth (Senedd constituency), Monmouth from 2007 to 2021. Originally a member of the Welsh Conservatives, he served as Shadow Minister of Finance under Conservative Leader in the Senedd, Paul Davies (Conservative politician), Paul Davies, but lost the position in January 2021 under the new leadership of Andrew RT Davies. Ramsay sat as an Independent politician, Independent member before unsuccessfully seeking reelection as an Independent in the 2021 Senedd election. Ramsay defected to the Welsh Liberal Democrats, Liberal Democrats in February 2022. Early life Nicholas Ramsay was born in 1975 and is originally from Cwmbran. Croesyceiliog School () is a state-funded secondary school in the Croesyceiliog area of Cwmbran, in South Wales, UK. Rosemary Butler (politician)
Dame Rosemary Janet Mair Butler (''née'' McGrath; born 21 January 1943) is a British politician who served as Presiding Officer of the National Assembly for Wales (now Llywydd of the Senedd) from 2011 to 2016. A member of Welsh Labour, Butler was the Assembly Member (AM; now Member of the Senedd) for Newport West from 1999 to 2016. Serving briefly as Secretary for Education in the first two years of the Welsh Government, she was elected Deputy Presiding Officer in May 2007. Mark Drakeford (born 19 September 1954) is a Welsh politician who has served as Cabinet Secretary for Finance since September 2024, having previously held the position from 2016 to 2018. He previously served as First Minister of Wales and Leader of Welsh Labour from 2018 to 2024, and as Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care from 2013 to 2016, and on an interim basis in 2024. He was first elected as the Member of the Senedd (MS) for Cardiff West in 2011 and is considered to be on the soft left of Labour. Drakeford was born in Carmarthen in West Wales. Help For Heroes
Help for Heroes is a British charity which supports members of the British Armed Forces community with their physical and mental health, as well as their financial, social and welfare needs. The charity was founded in 2007 by Bryn and Emma Parry after they visited soldiers at Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham. The charity now supports all veterans, serving personnel, those who have served alongside the UK military, and their families. Help for Heroes has supported more than 28,500 individuals since 2007 through its physical, psychological, financial, educational, sports, fellowship, and welfare support services. The charity's work is almost entirely funded by public donations. Robeston Wathen
Robeston Wathen is a rural village and parish in Pembrokeshire, Wales, west of Narberth, on the former Narberth to Haverfordwest turnpike subsequently designated the A40 which bypassed the village in 2011. Robeston Wathen is in the community of Llawhaden. The village is mediaeval, and limestone was quarried there. Name The village was recorded as ''Villa Roberti'' in 1282, referring to an unknown Robert. It was referred to as Roberdeston ("Robert's Farm") in 1357 and as Robertson Wathen in 1545, though a 1578 map published in 1583 labels it Robeston. South Wales Central () is an electoral region of the Senedd, consisting of eight constituencies. The region elects 12 members, eight directly elected constituency members and four additional members. The electoral region was first used in 1999, when the National Assembly for Wales was created. The Mardy () is a village in Monmouthshire, south east Wales. Location Mardy is located immediately to the north of the market town of Abergavenny. On old maps, the Mardy has the Welsh spelling Maerdy. History and amenities The Mardy has a close community and a varied mix of housing types and ages ranging from old farms recently built executive style homes. There is Church (building), church one mile further north at Llantilio Pertholey.
