Nick Mears
Nicolaus Tanner Mears (born October 7, 1996) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Colorado Rockies. Career Mears attended Rocklin High School and played college baseball at Sacramento City College. Pittsburgh Pirates Mears signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates as an undrafted free agent on August 22, 2018. Mears reached the Double-A Altoona Curve in his first full professional season, though he spent the bulk of the season with the High-A Bradenton Marauders. Across three levels in 2019, Mears threw innings, striking out 69 while walking just 18, maintaining a 3.28 ERA while being used exclusively out of the bullpen. The Bradenton Marauders are a Minor League Baseball team of the Florida State League and the Single-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. They are located in Bradenton, Florida, and play their home games at LECOM Park, which also serves as the Pirates' spring training facility. Previous franchise history The franchise can be directly traced to 1957 as the Tampa Tarpons, a team in the Florida State League, then a Class D minor league, based in Tampa. From their inception, the Tarpons played all their home games at Al Lopez Field, built in 1955 and located at the current site of Raymond James Stadium. Bradley Christopher Blalock (born December 25, 2000) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Milwaukee Brewers. Career Boston Red Sox Blalock attended Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia. He was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 32nd round, with the 977th overall selection, of the 2019 Major League Baseball draft. Blalock made his professional debut with the rookie–level Gulf Coast League Red Sox, logging a 6.75 ERA in 4 games (3 starts). The Albuquerque Isotopes are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. They play home games at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at an elevation of above sea level. In 2003, the Calgary Cannons moved from Alberta to Albuquerque and became the Isotopes playing in the Pacific Coast League.
