Cut Off Your Hands (COYH) was a post-punk band from New Zealand. Formed from the ashes of Auckland post-punk act Nova Echo, Cut Off Your Hands have since released a number of recordings on the labels Speak N Spell, SIXSEVENINE and French Kiss Records. In 2020, the band announced its final shows and the release of their third album ''HLLH''. Nick Johnston is a Canadian guitarist and songwriter who records as a solo artist. As of 2019, he has released five solo records. His albums have featured the work of notable artists such as Paul Gilbert, Marco Minnemann, Guthrie Govan, and Bryan Beller. He has also played on songs by other artists including Intervals, Scale the Summit, Periphery, Polyphia, David Maxim Micic, and Mike Dawes. He has toured extensively with artists including Plini and David Maxim Micic. In May 2019 he went on a North American tour with Between the Buried and Me and The Contortionist. Johnston has cited musical influences such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eddie Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen, and Jeff Beck, saying "I sound nothing like those guys, but I’m massively influenced by them". Nick Johnston is an Australian communications specialist based in Melbourne, Victoria. After completing a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) at RMIT University, RMIT, Johnston worked at ''The Age'' both in Melbourne and in Canberra, and at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, ABC where he held the position of state political reporter for three years. In March 2003, he joined the Nine Network and reported on the 2006 Commonwealth Games, Commonwealth Games as well as the 2006 Victorian state election. Paul Nicholas Johnston (born 5 January 1948) is a Scottish politician who was a Conservative Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the Mid Scotland and Fife region from May 1999 until August 2001. Political career He stood as a Conservative & Unionist candidate for the Scottish Parliament in 1999 and was elected for the Mid Scotland and Fife region. At the beginning of Parliament, Johnston took the oath in Catalan. In January 2001 he wrote a letter to ''The Times'', where he expressed disillusionment with the attitude of other politicians. An absence from Parliament began in February 2001 with an episode of pneumonia. Johnston resigned in August 2001, citing disillusionment with politics and his perception of a weak party leadership as reasons for doing so.
