Nicholas Fanti (born December 30, 1996) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 31st round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft. Career Fanti attended Hauppauge High School in Hauppauge, New York. As a senior, he pitched consecutive no-hitters for the school's baseball team. In his senior year, he won the Carl Yastrzemski Award, given to the best high school baseball player in Suffolk County. He committed to attend Marist College. Philadelphia Phillies The Philadelphia Phillies drafted Fanti in the 31st round, with the 924th overall selection, of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft. The Jersey Shore BlueClaws (formerly Lakewood BlueClaws) are a Minor League Baseball team of the South Atlantic League and the High-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. The Sydney Blue Sox are a professional baseball team, and one of six founding teams in the re-formed Australian Baseball League (ABL).
