Nicholas Pooran
Nicholas Pooran (; born 2 October 1995) was a Trinidadian cricketer who represented the West Indies cricket team in limited overs formats till 2024 and served as the team's captain. He also competes domestically for Trinidad and Tobago national cricket team, Trinidad and Tobago and plays for the Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Pooran made his international debut for the West Indies in September 2016. In May 2022, he was appointed captain of the West Indies limited-overs team. He stepped down from the captaincy in November 2022. In June 2025, he announced his retirement from international cricket. Domestic career From Couva, Pooran attended Naparima College in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, San Fernando, and played for the school's cricket team. Couva
Couva is a town in west-central Trinidad, south of Port of Spain and Chaguanas and north of San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, San Fernando and Point Fortin. Partnership (cricket)
A partnership in cricket refers to the collaboration between two batters and the runs they accumulate together, including extras. While both batters are involved in a partnership, only one is the striker at any given time. A partnership between two batters ends when one of them is dismissed, retires, or when the innings concludes. An innings may end due to a victory being achieved, a declaration, the expiration of a time or over limit, or the abandonment of the match. In exceptional circumstances, if one of the original batters is injured, a substitute runner may complete runs on their behalf. However, any runs scored will still be recorded as part of the partnership between the two original batters. The Indian men’s national under-19 cricket team represents India in cricket at Under-19 level. The team has won five Under-19 World Cups and has the best win percentage in ODIs among all Under-19 national teams. Canada Under-19 Cricket Team
The Canada national under-19 cricket team represents the country of Canada in under-19 international cricket. Canada has qualified for the Under-19 Cricket World Cup on eight occasions, the most of any associate member from the ICC Americas region. 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup
The 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup was a one-day cricket competition for sixteen international U-19 cricketing teams which was played in the United Arab Emirates. It was the tenth edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Sixteen nations competed: the ten Test-playing teams, the United Arab Emirates as hosts, and five additional associate and affiliate qualifiers (Afghanistan, Canada, Namibia, Papua New Guinea, and Scotland). India entered the tournament as defending champions, having won the title in 2012 in Australia under the captaincy of Unmukt Chand. Wicket-keeper
