Nicholas Cummins
Nicholas William Redfern Cummins (born 1973) is an Australian cricket administrator and is the current CEO of Cricket Victoria. Career Cummins began working in sports management in 1997 where he worked with Elite Sports Properties (ESP). As manager of the Communications Division, Cummins was involved in a number of major sporting events, including the 1998 Commonwealth Games, 2000 Summer Olympics, 2002 Winter Olympics, 2002 Commonwealth Games and 2003 Rugby World Cup. In 2004 Cummins moved into the corporate sector, holding sponsorship/marketing roles at Foster's Group, Ford Australia and Betfair before moving to Cricket Australia in 2013. In late 2013, Cummins was appointed General Manager of the Sydney Thunder, a team in the Big Bash League. Cricket Victoria
Cricket Victoria (CV) is the governing body for the sport of cricket in the Australian state of Victoria. It is integrated with the Victorian Women's Cricket Association to include funding, programs, office accommodation and staff assistance. The body was formed on 29 September 1875 as the Victorian Cricket Association, with its committee composed of delegates from leading metropolitan clubs. Big Bash League
The Big Bash League (BBL), also known as the KFC Big Bash League for sponsorship reasons, is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in Australia. Established in 2011 by Cricket Australia, the Big Bash League replaced the previous competition, the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash, and features eight city-based franchises instead of the six state teams which had participated previously. The competition has been sponsored by fast food chicken outlet KFC since its inception. It was in 2016/17 one of the two T20 cricket leagues, alongside the Indian Premier League, to feature amongst the top ten domestic sport leagues in average attendance. The winner of BBL 14 (2024/2025) was the Hobart Hurricanes, who beat the Sydney Thunder by 7 wickets in the final. BBL matches are played in Australia during the summer, from December to February. Melbourne Stars are an Australian Twenty20 franchise cricket team, based in Melbourne, Victoria that competes in Australia's Twenty20 competition, the Big Bash League. Melbourne Renegades are an Australian professional men's Twenty20 franchise cricket club based in Melbourne, the capital city of the Australian state of Victoria (Australia), Victoria. Women's Big Bash League
The Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) also known as Weber WBBL for sponsorship reasons, is the Australian professional Women's Twenty20 Cricket league. The WBBL replaced the Australian Women's Twenty20 Cup, which ran from the 2007–08 season through to 2014–15. The competition features eight city-based franchises, branded identically to the men's Big Bash League (BBL). The Sydney Thunder is an Australian franchise professional cricket team, competing in Australia's domestic Twenty20 cricket competition, the Big Bash League. The 1998 Commonwealth Games ( Malay: ), officially known as the XVI Commonwealth Games (Malay: ), were a multi-sport event held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
