Nicholas Christopher (actor)
Nicholas Christopher (born August 16, 1990) is an American stage actor and singer. He made his Broadway debut in the ensemble of '' Motown: The Musical'' and later went on to star in the Broadway revival of ''Miss Saigon'' and replaced Christopher Jackson as George Washington in ''Hamilton''. He later took over the role of Aaron Burr in the show. He received critical acclaim for his performances as Adolfo Pirelli and the standby Sweeney Todd in the 2023 Broadway revival of '' Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street''. He would later star as Todd in the production in between the stints of Josh Groban and Aaron Tveit from January 17 to February 8, 2024. He’s set to star as Anatoly Sergievsky in the first Broadway revival of ''Chess'' opposite Lea Michele Lea Michele Sarfati ( ; born August 29, 1986) is an American actress, singer, and songwriter. Chess (musical)
''Chess'' is a musical with music by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus of the pop group ABBA, lyrics by Ulvaeus and Tim Rice, and book by Rice. The story involves a politically driven, Cold War-era chess tournament between two grandmasters, one American and the other Soviet, and their fight over a woman who manages one and falls in love with the other. Although the protagonists were not intended to represent any real individuals, the character of the American grandmaster (named Freddie Trumper in the stage version) was loosely based on Bobby Fischer, while elements of the story may have been inspired by the chess careers of Russian grandmasters Viktor Korchnoi and Anatoly Karpov. ''Chess'' allegorically reflected the Cold War tensions present in the 1980s. The musical has been referred to as a metaphor for the whole Cold War, with the insinuation being made that the Cold War is itself a manipulative game. Boston Conservatory at Berklee (formerly The Boston Conservatory) is a private performing arts conservatory in Boston, Massachusetts. It grants undergraduate and graduate degrees in dance, music, and theater. Boston Conservatory was founded on February 11, 1867, as a music conservatory and later expanded to include leading programs in dance, opera, and theater.
