Nichlas Torp
Nichlas Torp (born April 10, 1989 in Jönköping) is a Swedish ice hockey player currently playing with the Nybro Vikings in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). He was selected in the sixth round, 163rd overall, by the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Torp made his debut in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) representing his hometown team HV71 during the 2008-09 season. In 2010, he helped the team win the Swedish national championship. He moved to Timrå IK in 2011, where he spent one year, followed by a four-year tenure at Modo Hockey. 2007 NHL Entry Draft
The 2007 NHL Entry Draft was the 45th NHL Entry Draft. It was hosted at Nationwide Arena in the city of Columbus, Ohio, on June 22, 2007. The draft consisted of seven rounds with rounds two through seven taking place on June 23, 2007. The draft was televised on TSN and RDS, with the first round simulcasted in the United States on Versus and in Europe on NASN. On March 13, 2007, it was reported that NHL owners had voted in favor of changes to the team ranking system which would begin at the 2007 draft. HV71 (), often referred to as just HV, is a Swedish professional ice hockey club based in Jönköping, playing in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), the first tier of Swedish ice hockey. The team played in the 2008–09 Champions Hockey League season, and also participates in the new Champions Hockey League tournament since the 2014–15 season. Between 2008 and 2013, HV also participated in the European Trophy tournament.
