Niall Moran
Niall Moran (born 1 March 1983) is an Irish hurler who played as a centre-forward for the Limerick senior team. Born in Castleconnell, County Limerick, Moran first played competitive hurling whilst at Ardscoil Rís. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of eighteen when he first linked up with the Limerick minor team, before later lining out with the under-21 side. He made his senior debut in the 2003 championship. Moran went on to play a key part in the forwards for a decade, and won one Munster medal and one National Hurling League (Division 2) medal. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. As a member of the Munster inter-provincial team at various times, Moran won one Railway Cup medal in 2007. Niall Rafferty (born Matthew McQueen) is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera ''Hollyoaks'', played by Barry Sloane. He first appeared during an episode broadcast on 3 December 2007. Richard Michael Niall is an Australian jurist who has served as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Victoria since 3 February 2025. He previously served as a judge of the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of Victoria from 28 November 2017 to 2 February 2025. On 17 December 2024, it was announced that Niall would be the next Chief Justice of Victoria. Brenda Niall
Brenda Mary Niall (born 25 November 1930) is an Australian biographer, literary critic and journalist. She is noted for her work on Australia's well-known Boyd family of artists and writers. Educated at Genazzano FCJ College, in Kew, Victoria, and the University of Melbourne, Niall began writing during her time as reader in the Department of English at Monash University. In June 2004 she was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia for "services to Australian literature, as an academic, biographer and literary critic" while in 2001 she was awarded the Centenary Medal for "service to Australian Society and the humanities in the study of Australian literature". In 1990 she was elected fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities. Niall is the aunt of sports journalist Jake Niall and judge Richard Niall.
