Nguyễn Văn Vĩ
Nguyễn Văn Vĩ (born 12 February 1998) is a Vietnamese professional footballer who plays as a left-back for V.League 1 club Thép Xanh Nam Định and the Vietnam national team. Club career Graduating from the Hanoi FC Reserves and Academy, Nguyễn Văn Vĩ made his professional debut for Hanoi B Football Club in the 2018 Vietnam First Division. He later played for Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh and helped the club win the 2019 Vietnam First Division. In December 2021, Văn Vĩ returned to former club, Hanoi FC, on a two-year contract. His first competitive appearance with Hanoi came in the V.League 1 match against Ho Chi Minh City on 12 March 2022. In 2023, Văn Vĩ signed for Thép Xanh Nam Định, he won both V.League and Vietnamese Super Cup in his first season. Ho Chi Minh City Football Club (HCMC FC, ), simply known as TP Hồ Chí Minh, and commonly known as TPHCM, is a professional football club based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Vietnamese National Football Super Cup (), also called the Thaco National Football Super Cup due to sponsorship reasons, is Vietnamese football's annual match contested between the champions of the previous V.League 1 season and the holders of the Vietnamese Cup. If the V.League 1 champions also won the Vietnamese Cup, then the league runners-up provide the opposition. The fixture was first played in the 1998–99 season. 2022 Vietnamese Cup
The 2022 Vietnamese Cup () (known as the BaF Meat-National Cup 2022 for sponsorship reasons) was the 30th edition of the Vietnamese National Cup, the football knockout tournament of Vietnam organized by the Vietnam Football Federation. The tournament followed the cancellation of the 2021 edition due to COVID-19 safety concerns. Hanoi successfully defended its 2020 title by defeating for its 3rd successive title in the final Binh Phuoc, 2–0. Vietnamese National Cup
Vietnamese National Football Cup (), commonly recognized and branded as the National Cup (), is a Vietnamese Association football, football competition. It is one of the most important club competitions in Vietnam. The Vietnamese Cup was first held in 1992. Ho Chi Minh City FC, Cảng Sài Gòn was the first cup winner. Format Since 2004, entry is open to all teams that competed in the V.League 1 and the V.League 2. The two teams that reach the final were exempt from the preliminary rounds of the next year's competition. The cup winners would qualify to the Qualifying playoff round of AFC Champions League Two. V.League 1 teams are not allowed to use foreign players if they play against a V.League 2 team. The third round of 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualification is played from 25 March 2025 to 31 March 2026. Format A total of 24 teams (3 best ranked losing teams from the first round + 18 third and fourth-placed teams from the second round + 3 winners from the play-off round) will participate in the third round to compete for the final six slots in the 2027 AFC Asian Cup.
