Nguyễn Ngọc Trường Sơn
Nguyễn Ngọc Trường Sơn (born 23 February 1990) is a Vietnamese chess player. The second-best player in Vietnam, he is the youngest Vietnamese ever to become a Grandmaster, and one of the youngest grandmasters in the history of the game, having qualified for the title at the age of fourteen. Chess career Trường Sơn learned to play chess at the age of 3. He won a gold medal at the World Youth Championships in the Under 10 category in 2000. In 2006, Trường Sơn won the Asian Junior (under 20) Championship in New Delhi, on tiebreak over Shyam Sundar M. after they both finished on 7/9 points. In August 2014, he, Lê Quang Liêm, and other Vietnamese chess players participated in 2014 Chess Olympiad in Tromsø, Norway. Phạm Lê Thảo Nguyên (born 7 December 1987) is a Vietnamese chess player who holds the titles of International Master and Woman Grandmaster. She has qualified for the knockout tournament Women's World Chess Championship 2017 as the winner of a zonal stage. In the first two rounds, she won against Lela Javakhishvili and Aleksandra Goryachkina, losing in the third round against Anna Muzychuk. She played for the Vietnamese women's team which won the bronze medal in chess at the 2010 Asian Games. The 41st Chess Olympiad (), organised by the FIDE, Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) and comprising an open and women's tournament, as well as several events designed to promote the game of chess, was an international team chess event that took place in Tromsø, Norway, between 1–14 August 2014. Performance Rating
The PR (performance rating, P-rating, or Pentium rating) system was a figure of merit developed by AMD, Cyrix, IBM Microelectronics and SGS-Thomson in the mid-1990s as a method of comparing their x86 processors to those of rival Intel. The idea was to consider instructions per cycle (IPC) in addition to the clock speed, so that the processors become comparable with Intel's Pentium that had a higher clock speed with overall lower IPC. Branding The first use of the PR system was in 1995, when AMD used it to assert that their AMD 5x86 processor was as fast as a Pentium running at 75 MHz. The designation "P75" was added to the chip to denote this. Later that year, Cyrix also adopted the PR system for its 6x86 and 6x86MX line of processors. Aeroflot Open
The Aeroflot Open is an annual open chess tournament organised through the joint efforts of the Chess Federation of Russia and the Russian Ministry of Sport with the sponsorship from the Russian flag carrier, Aeroflot. It is played in Moscow, holding both the international open tournament and the Russian Youth Cup "Aeroflot Open - Children". Aeroflot Open was established in 2002 as Swiss system tournament with nine rounds, and the winner is invited to the Dortmund chess tournament held later in the same year, a tradition begun in 2003. In 2013, it was converted into a rapid and blitz event. The first event had around 80 grandmasters, while in the second event 150 grandmasters participated.
