Nguyễn Anh Huy
Nguyễn Anh Huy (1943–2006), formerly known as Smas Slayman (), was a Cambodian-Vietnamese badminton player and coach. He was one of Cambodia's top badminton players in the 1960s. Originally from Vĩnh Long, he moved to Cambodia at a young age under the name Slayman. Career Under the Cambodian national team, he won Cambodia's first international medal in badminton at the Badminton at the 1961 SEAP Games, 1961 Southeast Asian Peninsular Games when he achieved silver in the men's singles event. In 1966, he competed in the GANEFO, 1966 GANEFO and was part of the Cambodian team that advanced to the finals of the men's team event. He also won a bronze medal in mixed doubles with Thach Thi Sanh. In 1971, he competed in the 1971 Asian Badminton Championships in Jakarta. Paired with Thi Do My Lanh, they reached the semi-finals of the mixed doubles event but lost out to Indra Gunawan (badminton), Indra Gunawan and Intan Nurtjahja 12–15, 5–15. Vĩnh Long
Vĩnh Long ɨn˨˩˦:lawŋ˧˧is a city and the capital of Vĩnh Long Province in Vietnam's Mekong Delta. Geography Vĩnh Long covers and has a population of 200,120 (as of 2018). The name was spelled 永 隆 ("eternal prosperity") in the former Hán-Nôm writing system. Topography Vĩnh Long is on the Cổ Chiên River, which branches out from the Mekong River at the narrows of Mỹ Thuận about upstream, only to meet it later downstream. Across the Cổ Chiên river from Vĩnh Long are the An Binh and Bình Hòa Phước islands, some across, with the Mekong River on the other side. A number of canals run through Vĩnh Long, with tall vehicular bridges crossing them. Transport by boat is possible, although parts of the town, particularly An Binh, become unreachable at low tide.
