PTV News (TV Program)
''PTV News'' is a Philippine television news program broadcast by PTV. Originally anchored by Erik Espina, Issa Rodriguez, Chiqui Roa-Puno, and Daniel Razon, it aired from October 2, 1995, to October 30, 1998, replacing ''News on 4'' and was replaced by ''National Network News''. The newscasts returned from July 11, 2016, to July 9, 2017, replacing ''News @ 1'', ''News @ 6'', '' NewsLife'', ''News @ 6 Saturday Edition'' and ''The Weekend News'' and was replaced by '' Sentro Balita'', ''Ulat Bayan'', ''Ulat Bayan Weekend'', and ''PTV News Headlines''. Aljo Bendijo, Diane Querrer, and Alex Santos served as the final anchors. The newscasts returned again as a weekday primetime newscast from September 18, 2017, to September 4, 2020, replacing ''Ulat Bayan'' and was replaced by ''Ulat Bayan''. People's Television Network (; abbreviated PTV) is the flagship State broadcasting, state broadcaster owned by the Government of the Philippines. Founded in 1974, PTV is the main brand of People's Television Network, Inc. (PTNI), one of the attached agencies under the Presidential Communications Group#Presidential Communications Office, Presidential Communications Office (PCO). PTV, along with government-owned media companies Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation and the Presidential Broadcast Service-Bureau of Broadcast Services, formed the media arm of the PCO and acts as a primary state television broadcaster that focuses on news, information and public service programming. Catherine "Cathy" Yu Untalan is a Filipina TV anchor and beauty pageant titleholder. She won Miss Philippines-Earth 2006 and the international Miss Earth Water 2006. She is the executive director of the Miss Earth Foundation, the environmental-social-humanitarian outreach arm of Miss Earth beauty pageant. ''RadyoBisyon'' (RadioVision, a portmanteau of the Filipino words for "radio" and "television") was a Philippine national morning radio and television newscast produced by Media ng Bayan, the government's media arm. MNB was composed of the Philippine Information Agency, Philippine Broadcasting Service - Radyo ng Bayan, People's Television Network, Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation, and the Philippines News Agency. The program aired on PTV, IBC, and PBS-Radyo ng Bayan. It premiered on MNB's state-owned TV and radio stations on October 6, 2014, and was broadcast from 6:00 – 7:00 AM PST. Edmund Rosales
Edmund Rosales is a Filipino astronomer and meteorologist and a former president of the Philippine Astronomical Society and Cofounder of The Astronomical League of the Philippines. He is currently the resident meteorologist in the Philippine television show, ''Rise and Shine Pilipinas''. Personal life Rosales graduated with a BS Biology degree in 1987, and proceeded to take up Medicine in 1988 in the Far Eastern University.
