The Zone Football League (formerly the Newcastle Zone League) is an Australian amateur soccer league based in Northern New South Wales that was founded in 2024 and administered jointly by Newcastle Football, Macquarie Football and Hunter Valley Football; sub-federations respectively of Northern NSW Football. The league is the third tier of football in the NNSWF. The first division was known NNSW Zone Football Premier League (2011–2023) and NNSW Interdistrict Division One prior to 2011. Northern League One
Northern League One is a semi-professional soccer competition in Northern New South Wales. The competition is conducted by Northern NSW Football, one of two organising bodies in New South Wales (the other being the National Premier Leagues NSW organised by Football NSW). The league sits at Level 2 on the Northern New South Wales league system (Level 3 of the overall Australian league system). The league was formally known as the Northern Second Division (1959-1997) and subsequently the Northern First Division (1998-2013). Format The competition consists of 10 teams, who each have a First grade and Reserve grade team. The regular season takes place over 18 rounds, with each team playing each other twice in a home and away format. From 2024 promotion and relegation was reintroduced. Newcastle Croatia FC
The Newcastle Croatia Football Club is an Australian football (soccer) from Newcastle, New South Wales. The club was formed by the city's Croatian Australian community as Newcastle Croatia in 1984 and debuted that year in the 5th Division of the Newcastle League. the club is based in Wickham, New South Wales and would in following years change its name to ''Wickham Croatia''. Lambton Jaffas Football Club is an Australian soccer club based in Lambton a suburb of Newcastle, New South Wales. They compete in the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW, the highest division of the New South Wales Football Leagues. History Lambton Jaffas started off as the senior team of ''Lambton Soccer Club'' which was established in 1957. The club prospered during the 1960s, with the clubs first All Age side being established in 1968. Maitland FC
Maitland Football Club, commonly known as Maitland FC, or simply as Maitland, is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in East Maitland, a suburb of Maitland, New South Wales. History In 2014, Maitland FC were premiers in the Northern NSW State League Division 1. The premiership resulted in Maitland being promoted back to the top tier of Northern NSW Football, now known as National Premier Leagues Northern NSW, for the first time since 2002. Charlestown Azzurri FC (formerly Charlestown City Blues FC) is an Australian soccer club based in Whitebridge, a suburb of Newcastle, New South Wales. Wallsend Football Club is a football club in Australia. They play in the NNSW Northern League 1(NL1) which is the second tier of competition in Northern NSW Football.
