New Quay Football Club is a Welsh football club based in New Quay, Ceredigion. The team currently plays in the . History The first mention of a football club in New Quay was in reference to a match against Llanarth on 29 December 1894. The club first entered the Ceredigion League in 1931–32, finishing fifth out of six teams. The club was reformed in the early 1960s. New Quay played in the 1978–79 Welsh Cup, where they lost in the preliminary round against Montgomery Town. The club's greatest period came in the early 2010s, with three consecutive Ceredigion League titles in 2010–11, 2011–12, and 2012–13. However just three years after their last title the club was on the brink of folding. New Quay
New Quay () is a seaside town, community and electoral ward in Ceredigion, Wales; it had a resident population of 1,045 at the 2021 census. Llanarth, Ceredigion
Llanarth is a small village and community in Ceredigion, Wales. It is on the A487 road and is about from both Aberaeron and New Quay. The community includes the village of Synod Inn. Church The parish church of St David's, once dedicated to St Fylltyg, is a Grade II* listed building. It was renovated in 1872. A stone in the churchyard is sometimes pointed out as bearing the Devil's footprint. According to legend, he was trying to steal one of the church's bells one night but woke the vicar, who drove him off. He left the footprint as he fled.
