New Ottawa Arena
New Ottawa Arena is a planned indoor arena to be located in the LeBreton Flats district of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It will be the future home of the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League (NHL) and part of a mixed-use development slated for the area. History The ice hockey club Ottawa Senators of the NHL was established in 1992. At first the team played at the Ottawa Civic Centre in the Glebe sector of Ottawa until a new arena could be built. The Senators ownership acquired land in suburban Kanata, Ontario, (up until 2001, an independent city west of Ottawa, now part of Ottawa) roughly from downtown Ottawa. Opened in January 1996, the Palladium (the name later changed to the Corel Centre, Scotiabank Place and now, Canadian Tire Centre) became the home for the Senators. Ottawa Senators
The Ottawa Senators (), officially the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club and colloquially known as the Sens, are a professional ice hockey team based in Ottawa. The Senators compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference. Pimisi Station
Pimisi station is a light rail station on Line 1 as part of the O-Train network. Location The stop is located under Booth Street in LeBreton Flats. and opened on September 14, 2019. It serves the redeveloped flats area, including the New Central Library, Chinatown, and Little Italy. History The Transitway station was originally named LeBreton. By proposal of the local Algonquin leaders it was renamed "Pimisi" (Algonquin: ''eel'') when it was rebuilt to accommodate the O-Train. Layout The station features an island platform located at grade. Unusually, the platform level is an intermediate level. Above it, two entrance buildings with entrance barriers are located on either side of Booth Street. Bayview Station (Ottawa)
Bayview station is an O-Train interchange station in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, connecting lines 1 (Confederation Line) and 2 (Trillium Line). History Bayview station opened on October 15, 2001, as the northern terminus of the O-Train (now known as the Trillium Line). An infill station on the Transitway between Tunney's Pasture and LeBreton (now Pimisi), with a pair of elevated bus platforms at the western end of Albert Street, openend the same day.
