''New English EP'' is an EP released by Ambulance LTD on March 14, 2006 containing new songs, old demos from their first album, '' LP'', and a cover of a Pink Floyd song ("Fearless"). According to theiofficial website it was intended to tide over fans until the release of their second full-length album in the fall of 2007 (which did not come to pass). Ambulance LTD
Ambulance LTD was an indie rock group formed in Spanish Harlem, New York City in 2000. The band was founded by Michael Di Liberto and David Longstreth from Cleveland OH. Marcus Congleton joined about a year later and continued on with their name and ideas with other members. They signed to TVT Records after getting positive reviews from their live shows and recorded their debut album '' LP'' on March 23, 2004 in the US and March 14, 2005 in the UK and went on to sell more than 100,000 copies worldwide. The band mixes the genres of dream pop, indie rock and the British shoegazing movement of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Their influences range from the Beatles and the Rolling Stones to Spiritualized, My Bloody Valentine, and Elliott Smith. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. TVT Records (Tee-Vee Tunes) was an American record label founded by Steve Gottlieb. Over the course of its 24-year history, the label released 25 Gold, Platinum and Multi-Platinum releases. ''LP'' is the first and only album by the New York-based indie rock band Ambulance LTD. The album was released on March 23, 2004 in the US and March 14, 2005 in the UK by TVT Records. Fearless (Pink Floyd Song)
"Fearless" is the third track on the 1971 album ''Meddle'' by Pink Floyd. It is a slow acoustic guitar-driven song written by Roger Waters and David Gilmour, and includes audio of football fans singing "You'll Never Walk Alone". It was also released as the B-side of the single along with " One of These Days", and was praised by critics as one of the better songs from ''Meddle''. Recording The song's slow tempo and mellow acoustic sound bear similarities to some of the other tracks on the first side of the album. Roger Waters performed the acoustic guitar parts using an open tuning in G major, taught to Waters by former member Syd Barrett. Near the beginning and at the end of the song, a field recording of fans in Liverpool's Kop singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" is superimposed over the music. Roger Waters
George Roger Waters (born 6 September 1943) is an English musician, singer-songwriter and composer. In 1965, he co-founded the progressive rock band Pink Floyd. Napster was a peer-to-peer file sharing application. It originally launched on June 1, 1999, with an emphasis on digital audio file distribution. An ambulance is a medically equipped vehicle which transports patients to treatment facilities, such as hospitals.
