Nevelske
Nevelske (; ) is a village in Pokrovsk Raion, Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine, at about west by north ( WbN) from the centre of Donetsk city. Nevelske belongs to Ocheretyne settlement hromada. History Russo-Ukrainian War War in Donbas The War in Donbas, which lasted from mid-April 2014 until the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, brought both civilian and military casualties. Two Ukrainian servicemen were killed and two others were wounded in action at Nevelske on 8 November 2014. Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded at Nevelske on 16 December 2016, and another was killed by shelling at a Ukrainian army position near the settlement. On 14 November 2021 nine houses were damaged due to the shelling of Nevelske. Three days later seven houses were damaged, destroying two of them. Pervomaiske, Pokrovsk Raion, Donetsk Oblast
Avdiivske (), formerly known as Pervomaiske (; ) is a village located in the suburbs of Donetsk, in Pokrovsk Raion, Donetsk Oblast, eastern Ukraine. It is currently occupied by Russia. The population is 2,208. The governing body is the Pervomaiske Village Council. Geography Avdiivske is geographically located in the historical and economic Donbas region of eastern Ukraine. The village is located east of Karlivka, north of Nevelske, south of Tonenke and north-west of Pisky. The elevation is 169 meters. History The village was founded in the second half of the 19th century. During the war in Donbas, in 2014, the village was close to the center of fighting at the Donetsk Sergey International Airport. It was shelled multiple times by Donetsk People's Republic militants near Pisky and Spartak. On March 25, 2015, unknown persons toppled a monument to Vladimir Lenin in the village. Ocheretyne settlement hromada () is a hromada of Ukraine, located in Pokrovsk Raion, Donetsk Oblast. Its administrative center is the town of Ocheretyne. It has an area of and had a population of 21,399 in 2020. Wounded in action (WIA) describes combatants who have been wounded while fighting in a combat zone during wartime, but have not been killed. Typically, it implies that they are temporarily or permanently incapable of bearing arms or continuing to fight. Generally, the Wounded in Action are far more numerous than those killed. Common combat injuries include second and third-degree burns, broken bones, shrapnel wounds, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, nerve damage, paralysis, loss of sight and hearing, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and limb loss.
