Nevelle Clarke (born November 16, 1996) is an American football cornerback for the Birmingham Stallions (2022), Birmingham Stallions of the United States Football League (2022), United States Football League (USFL). He played college football at UCF Knights football, UCF. He signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2020. High school career Clarke played wide receiver, cornerback, Safety (gridiron football position), safety, and Return specialist, returner at J. P. Taravella High School. A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. A return specialist or kick returner is a player on the special teams unit of a gridiron football team who specializes in returning punts and kickoffs. There are few players who are exclusively return specialists; most also play another position such as wide receiver, defensive back, or running back. Non-football injury and non-football illness (NFI) are roster designations used in the National Football League (NFL) for players who are unable to practice as a result of conditions unrelated to football, or injuries that did not occur during NFL games or practices. They are similar to the physically unable to perform and injured reserve lists. Active/NFI Players who report to training camp injured or ill due to injuries or illnesses sustained outside of NFL practices or games can be placed on the active/non-football injury or active/non-football illness lists while they recover. A player cannot remain on an NFI list if they participate in a practice or game during the preseason.
